Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim "In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful"

As long as I remember, we have been doing for ourselves and going through the struggle. Now, as an adult, black muslim I know that this has always been the way.

We have always have to preserve ourselves and also persevere. Having to see things through even when the odds were pushed against us.

Since no one is coming to save us we must do for ourselves.

Our families, our businesses, our communities are directly affected by our actions and inaction.

Our present time and our country's leadership only serves a select few, a very privileged class.

A class of people that will be okay because they were born into a safety net.

For the majority that weren't, you're my people.

I stand with you,

I'm here to serve you.

"You should know that your money and your children are a test, and that God possesses a great recompense. O you who believe, if you reverence God, He will enlighten you, remit your sins, and forgive you. GOD possesses infinite grace."
